Relationship between Scale and Mode?

Scales
There are 2 fixed scales (major and minor) and 10 user definable scales. (names begin with *).
As you can see above, scales are in fact intervals.
The major scale has following intervals : w(hole) w(hole) h(alf) w(hole) w(hole) w(hole) h(alf)

You can set a key (p.e. D) but you don't have to. (= sign).
If you set a key, all clips will follow that particular key/scale.
If you do not specify a key, all clips will still play in the choosen scale BUT in their own key.

Mode sequencer
           - M: 1 note
           - 2a: 2 notes, dominant + third
           - 2b: 2 notes, dominant + fifth (power chord)
           - 3a: 3 notes, dominant + third + fifth
           - 3b: 3 notes, dominant + third + fifth (first inversion)
           - 3c: 3 notes, dominant + third + fifth (second inversion)
           - 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d: 4 notes, dominant + third + fifth + seventh (and inversions)
           - 5: 5 notes, dominant + third + fifth + seventh + ninth
